Hyatt Place Raleigh / Cary

Staff was unfriendly, irritable, and non-responsive to communication through the World of Hyatt chat feature indicating our arrival time. We were flagged as a no-show, losing our upgraded room in the process and having to re-process our stay at the front desk. Room service was not conducted at all during our stay. We asked for staff to at least bring some fresh towels up and we were instructed come down and get them ourselves. Expected low-service; received no-service.

I would like to take this time to commend Dominic, Star, Jo Lisa, as well as your other day and night staff this past weekend. The hospitality shown to us was above par in their professionalism during our entire stay at your hotel. Our family visiting from VA, NC, GA and FL were guests at your hotel to attend and celebrate my grandniece's graduation ceremonies from NC State, December 16th. We felt welcomed and were accommodated to all our various needs. The lobby was wonderfully decorated, the breakfast buffet was great (my compliments to your chef) and plentiful, the rooms were clean (toilets too short for tall people) and the staff was on top of the cleanliness of the facility. This hotel will be recommended and saved as a favorite in my maps for a stay in Raleigh. Great job Hyatt Place Raleigh/Cary Staff!!!

Not sure why this hotel got such high ratings. Sure the front desk staff is delightful but my experience with the room(s) was not. Older property (10yrs), gross carpet in hallway and in rooms. Firm believer, hotels should not have carpet in rooms...they are filthy and disgusting..Who knows when they were properly cleaned and disinfected last. Poor housekeeping. Hair EVERYWHERE!!!! 1st assigned room had Cheerios on the floor upon entry and hair in bathroom. Assistant Manager Ian was kind enough to investigate my concern with the first room and helped me switch to a new one. 2nd room was cleaner but smelled musty. Water stains on ceiling No battery cover on remote control. Refrigerator was completely turned off. None of the in room phones worked. Couldn't get streaming services to Chromecast to TV. Small shower head with low water pressure that doesn't get super hot....had to turn the water on for a goo 5 minutes before it got like warm. Bath towels were hard, thin and small in size for a shower/bath towel. Only good...Comfy bed, decent pillows. Disappointed to say the least.

First off, the staff here is amazing. Customer service is excellent. Star, Aaron, Linda, and Ray were all a big part of our stay here and they were so helpful, professional, and extremely nice. The hotel is very clean, especially the lobby and rooms. Breakfast is simple, yet better than your average free hotel breakfast. This hotel is within 10 minutes of PNC arena, downtown Raleigh, and downtown Cary, NC, where you can find plenty of BBQ places, vegetarian/vegan restaurants, and other places to eat. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Raleigh looking to be close to easy food choices, coffee shops, or sporting events.

Very nice and quiet hotel. We enjoy our stay here. In addition to the breakfast bar, they also have some fruits (banana, apple) available 24 hrs in the same area if you need a quick snack. If there is one thing I can suggest, it will be go easy on using bleach when they doing the daily cleaning in the guestroom. The first two days we stay, we can smell a strong smell of bleach in the bed when I flip open the comforter. I have allergy issue and the bleach smell got me. Other than this, it was a perfect stay. Definitely I will comeback again for my next visit.

Great value for the price, free breakfast is never very good but it’s convenient. Rooms are large and clean. Over the three days I was there, there was never coffee which was frustrating. Even at 10am. Maybe there’s no guarantee for coffee but the lovely station in the lobby makes you think it’s a perk. You can make a cup in your room but it’s not the same. They said I can buy a cup from the bar. They said coffee was over… Again, just saying here this hotel would be five stars if they could keep up with how much everyone just wants to enjoy the coffee offered in the lobby because they run a tight ship otherwise.

Hands down, the best experience on our road trip. Our queen suite was spotless; beds were very, very comfortable. My only complaint about our room was that the bathroom was small and had no exhaust fan - strange. The pull out couch wasn't comfortable; the mattress was thin and lumpy. From the lobby to the passageways to our room, everything smelled fresh and clean. The pool is small but very clean. Breakfast was hot and fresh, with plenty of choices. There's a quiet veranda off the area with several patio tables and chairs, nice spot for morning coffee. Check in online was seamless, as was checking out online. Plenty of parking, the area seems very safe. Hotel staff were friendly and professional. Highly recommend, and will definitely stay again the next time we're in Raleigh.

This hotel is very clean and on the newer side. Upon check-in, the employee who helped me was not friendly and was bothered that I only wanted 4pm check-out for 1 of the 2 rooms I booked. I was trying to be thoughtful of housekeeping while still availing of my status benefit so I really don’t know why she was so unwelcoming of me. Even when purchasing snacks, it seemed like I was bothering her. However, every other employee I interacted with the next day at check out and at breakfast was kind and friendly. overall - clean room, mixed bag with customer service
